Entering Vehicles

iCM provides two ways to enter vehicles into the system from the Vehicles Tab.  Manual entry and the use of an Import Table.  Before proceeding, ensure your System Administrator has completed the required Settings. Settings

Import Table

  1. Select the Import Table from the Vehicle List page

Selecting the Import Data tab from the Vehicle List will download the required table for use.  Selecting the Important Instructions will provide the customer with all the instructions and requirements for use.

     2.  Select the Download Sample form.

     3.  Open the Excel form and at a minimum add information for column A, B and C.  Best practice would be to add information to all fields if possible.  Please be mindful that the entries may require a specific format and/or information currently located within the system.  The Important Instructions noted above will provide all needed additional information.

     4.  Save your file and return to iCM, select the Choose File tab, find and select your file and select Scan.

iCM will scan the document and may note Errors and Warning for missing, incorrect or out of value data.

Errors are issues where iCM will not import the entire line of data for that vehicle if the customer then selected the Import tab.  Selecting the Error icon will provide a detailed description of the noted issue. 

Warnings are issues where iCM will not import the information from a specific field. Selecting the Warning icon will provide a detailed description of the noted issue.    

These functions are provided to help guide the customer to entering the correct data and avoid typos and issues.

     5.  To correct Errors and/or Warnings, return to your downloaded file, make the necessary updates and return to iCM.  Refresh your browser and return to Step 4.

        6.  When the Import table has been entered to your satisfaction, simply choose the Import tab.  iCM will import all the data into the system and mark each vehicle as Saved.  Returning to the main Vehicle tab will show all imported vehicles.

     7.  You may edit any vehicle entry as required to add or update information by clicking on the vehicle line.

     8.  To add documents, select the Choose File tab, select your file, choose your Document Type and Save. These can include electronic owner's manuals, lease agreements, titles etc.

iCM includes the Document Management section as part of this module where staff can upload any documents and or pictures.  This area must be set up by your company's iCM System Administrator before documents can be added.  For more information follow this link:  Document Management Overview
