New Announcement Module April 2024

Welcome to iCareManager's new Announcement module.  

This module will enable customers to build custom announcements to improve both mass and time sensitive communication of information as well as scheduled reminders of tasks.  The landing page will display any announcements and includes several filtering categories.  Created Announcements can be Previewed, Viewed for editing and Deleted.

Category

• Category is a location in which you can help to designate any Announcements you will create.  Creating, saving, editing and deleting Categories can be preformed in this location.  Later. when you create an Announcement, you will be able to assign it to a Category.

Adding an Announcement

• After select the Add Announcement tab, customer will find several fields in which the Announcement can be customized.
• The Settings gear opens another window allowing the use to determine if the Announcement should show before the staff logs in, may require the staff to acknowledge receipt and if so what style of acknowledgement would be required.

• Returning back to the main tab, customers will Title, choose Announcement Type which can be a written description or by attaching an image.

• Additional fields help to specify if the Announcement should only appear to specific Programs, from you Organizational Hierarchy, Roles or even certain staff.

• The Schedule toggle gives great versatility on the date(s) and timeframe the Announcement should appear, including the potential for a repeating frequency.   Also available is the option to only display the Announcement once during the selected period or every time that staff logs into iCM.ie Every other Monday staff could receive the Announcement to submit certain information.  Or maybe every Thursday night to ensure the trash cans are placed at the curb.

• Multiple schedule entries are available.

Styling

• Styling allows customer to choose exactly how the Announcement will appear and be displayed.  Customers can use stock styles or create their own, with choices for both Font and Background color, text and even how the message enters the screen.  These custom styles can be saved and used again for future announcements.

• And Announcements can also be saved for later use or customers can select the Publish this announcement box and Save to put it into effect.

Announcement Preview

• Back on the landing page the Preview Announcement tab enables the customer to see exactly how the Announcement will appear and be displayed.
