How to set up your Open Future Learning integration?

The Open Future Learning (OFL) integration will allow your staff to sign into OFL through a Single Sign On and complete their trainings in OFL. Every time a course is completed in OFL, the staff will be marked trained for that course in iCM after a couple of minutes.

Start in iCM:

  1. iCM->Admin Tools> iCM Settings -> External System Integration -> Credentials. Enter OFL admin credentials here.

To link courses between iCM/OFL:

  1. Go to Training Management
  2. Click on Training Material for a class
  3. Add a Training Link
  4. Check checkbox for Links to an external system
  5. Choose the system OFL
  6. Enter training Title
  7. Training URL and code from OFL
  8. If material is required to mark staff as trained click “Staff Must Complete this Training”

Please note:

  1. When a user clicks on an OFL course, if the user does not exist in OFL a new user will be created.
  2. This integration uses technology called RESTful APIs.
  3. You will need to reach out to OFL to get the integration up and running on their side. This may come with a cost. There is no additional cost from iCM.
