How to add a new medication?

Adding a new medication is an important step to be able to use the eMAR tool to chart medication administration.

Here's how:

1. Go to the eChart -> Medications.
2. Click Add Medication.
3. Enter information listed on the pharmacy packaging and select your start date.
4. Enter purpose and directions.
5. Select if the medication needs to be crushed or requires a reading.
6. Select the provider who prescribed the medication.
7. Set the schedule for the medication administration.
8. Click Save.
