How to order medication refills?

In the system you have the ability to order and track refills. The first step is to make sure the pharmacy is associated to your organization and then to each person. The pharmacy fax number must be part of their profile. Once those initial set up steps are in place, staff have easy access to order. 

Let's take a look:

  1.  Inside the person's eChart click the button that says RX/Refill Requests.
  2. Once inside this feature you will see the full list of medication and some additional details. To place an order simply find the medication(s) you need to order and click the box under the column titled Check box.
  3. When you have selected what you want to order scroll to the bottom of the screen and click where you see Send. Note-The pharmacy phone and fax should already be showing. 
  4. The system generates and sends a fax to the pharmacy directly from the system. After the order is placed you will see that it is processing.
  5. When the order is delivered by the pharmacy you must mark this item as received. Click the small arrow next to the message Processing Refill. Select Mark as Received and a calendar will pop up for you to select the date of delivery.

From that same drop down next to Processing Refill there is an option to resend the refill request and cancel the refill request. Make sure to make your selections carefully. If there is an issue with a refill please make sure to call the pharmacy directly for the fastest response and resolution to your issue.
